Way more expert on Fascism and the cause of it then I am, Thom. You are using a lot of history re "White Male" supremacy. We are not living today predominately in Male Supremacy. Yes, we have a history of male dominance. But that is clearly changing. In my profession of therapy, probably 80% are women. And there are more women entering law, medical and graduate programs. And certainly more women in Congress. All this White male supremacy stuff get tied up with "toxic" masculinity. Not that there aren't really stupid White males holding on to "old" ways of Being. I typically ask men, in particular what "misandry" means. Most don't know. I'll will leave it at that...

You well perceive the complication of conflating political and social power with personal relationship dynamics. Of course, they interact. (Battered woman begging the DA to drop the charges because, of course, he has the higher-paying job...) You are a bit unspecific about your professional niche: I'll go out on a limb and speculate more M.D. psychiatrists are still male (higher paid) and I think it's almost notorious that "social workers" are more female and (of course) lower-paid. And teachers? Fugeddaboutit. Traditional woman's work: shit pay, regardless of gender balance now. As for how women are actually given credibility in whatever position; still a panoramic uphill battle, no matter credentials. You don't have to be "really stupid" or "toxic" to join with the boys, hardy-har, on the subject of the butt or "shrill voice" of the new lawyer or doctor in the building. Then you just don't quite listen to her when she has something to say. So the personal infiltrates the professional, and it's pretty cool that we're even thinking!

To quote the great Lizzo, "It's about damn time!". Women have become more and more successful in the entertainment industry as well---music, movies, comedy, and podcasts. I love it! They are helping to change it up. Can't wait to see the next big election.....
