David, regardless of how the media treats it. The only important thing is who will be 47. If Bidens performance, in the last 3+ years, and on TV last night, and his presence, his charisma are enough then all else is irrelevant, otherwise it is end of freedom as we know it.

Well, that’s good, but I am 72, haven’t voted for a Repug yet, and ain’t starting now. However, in my 1st Presidential election, I voted for Linda Jenness of the Socialist Workers Party because George McGovern made such a mess of a campaign (Thomas Eagleton, etc., etc.).
David, it is a pity you didn't learn much, I am your age also. If I liked the Republican for State office or less I would vote for them when I was younger, but the GOP has moved further right to fascism and the Democratic party has moved further right and are now the old Republican party. I don't vote or trust Federal Republicans or state or county or city since Ray gun. If you think Biden is a radical leftist, you have been brainwashed!
I understand, but we must acknowledge reality. Right now, we are a duopoly. We cannot fix that before the election. I too am a socialist. I would love to see someone run on stripping all the uber wealthy of most of their wealth; requiring they actually work for their money; public funding of all education, health care, and fixing the prices of housing (and restrictions on how many square feet a person can have) - but hey. Someone running on that platform would never make it out of their own living room. We have a lot of work to do. We will not see the results. it may be 50 years before the mess can be fixed. I too am 72. You and I will be dead by then.

Every now & then I go on a rant about what I'd like to see dems pass, usually along the lines you stated. Hubs then started calling dems the fascists....

I will of course vote for Biden and hope he is not a Nazi, because I have no choice. But he can sure act like one when it comes to saving democracy.
